On March 31st, 2019, Andrew Kralka shares his healing testimony of frequent nose bleeds.
“In 1983 I attended a summer camp in Wisconsin. On one of the days we played baseball. I was in right field and a guy who was about 5 inches taller than me was playing centre field. On a particular play the batter hit the ball out to my right. As I was running toward the fly ball the big guy in centre field was also running toward it. Neither of us called for it and we collided. I got the worst of it as his left elbow came down hard on my nose. Incredibly, my nose was neither broken nor did it bleed (not then anyways), but boy did I develop a splitting headache. The headache eventually went away but what I didn’t know at the time was that I was about to go on a journey where I would experience chronic nose bleeds. They would happen without warning or if my nose got bumped in the slightest way. If I ever had a cold, nose bleeds would be sure to follow. Once a nose bleed would start if would often take a long time for them to clot and stop. It became something that I was very conscious of. I remember at times when our daughters were young but old enough to start running around that they would want to jump up on my lap. I would instinctively put my hand up so they wouldn’t accidentally hit my nose. When I started leading worship on Sunday mornings at our former fellowship I would just be praying that my nose would not start bleeding in the middle of the worship. It could happen at any time. I told my doctor about the nose bleeds at one point and he just thought that I had sensitive nasal membrane. Then one night in 2001 we went to our weekly home group meeting. The group prayed that night that my nose bleeds would stop. It had been 18 years since the incident at summer camp. Another 18 years has passed since that night when the home group prayed for me and I have not had a single nose bleed.”
